About Me

Namaste!
I’m Ghanshyam Bhattarai, an English teacher from Nepal with over 15 years of teaching experience — and a passionate language learner myself.

Although I’ve been teaching English for many years, I still work consciously every day to improve my own fluency. That ongoing effort is exactly why I created this blog, Learn English in Chunks.

I didn’t start this blog because I’m a perfect speaker or a flawless expert. I started it because I understand the real challenges of learning English as a second language — the hesitation while speaking, the struggle to sound natural, and the frustration of knowing grammar but lacking fluency. My journey closely reflects the experience of many learners in Nepal and other countries where English is not the first language.

Over time, I’ve realised that true fluency does not come from memorising isolated words or rules. It develops through the repeated use of natural English chunks — fixed expressions, collocations, and sentence patterns that native speakers use instinctively in everyday communication.

On this blog, I share:

  • vocabulary chunks used in real contexts

  • grammar chunks explained simply and practically

  • contextual practice to build confidence

  • fluency strategies that I have personally used and tested

Whether you’re a student, a teacher, a job seeker, or simply someone aiming to communicate more confidently in English, you’ll find practical and relatable content here. Every post is written with real learners in mind — people who want progress, not perfection.

I’m here not only as a teacher, but as a fellow learner who believes that language is best learned through use, practice, and persistence.

Let’s keep learning English in chunks — and move one step closer to fluency, together.
